it’s a great game. It reminds me of A Link to the past. I absolutely love the combat system. The boss fights are all very intuitive and have multiple ways to damage them. I love how enemies are always vulnerable to attack which allows me to wail on them non-stop so long as I remember their attack patterns. I absolutely loved the Spider boss fights in particular. It really kept me on edge with his numerous projectiles and the minions he keeps spawning into the Arena. Your Attention to detail is Amazing. For instance I love how the mountains in the background have a red tint. And the bricks also have a red tint. Which implies that the bricks where Quarried from the red mountains. I also love how you let the players pick their own pace with the different characters. Butus is slow, but he hits like a truck to make up for being slow. Felicia is fast and jumps high. But she’s pretty weak in combat.
Very short yet sweet game and it has just the right amount of combat. It’s got all the basics of a standard Metroidvania. But it sets itself apart by cranking the speed up to 11. Characters who rely so heavily on their speed is an extreme rarity in the genre. I had a bit of difficulty adjusting to the controls. But I love how you let players map the controls to different keys.
